The NXL hosted the 2025 British Invitational over the weekend. The hometown team, The Lucky 15’s came away with the victory. They had contributions from every player that saw the field, resulting in a total ‘team’ win. Sunday’s play saw them match up against the French team LTF in the quarter final round where the Lucky’s were able to take the victory by a score of 4-1. In the semi finals, they matched up against Joy Division and were able to come away with the win in dominant fashion (6-1), avenging their only loss of the tournament. In the final matchup, The Lucky 15’s beat Paris Camp Carnage by a score of 3-2.

Q&A with Clint Riddle
Can you tell me a little bit about your story in paintball?
“ First off, Brandon you are a saint! Thank you for including me in this! I love what you do and that you’re making a periodical! Keep up the great work.
My story in paintball is ever evolving. I grew up in the hot spot of paintball DFW TX. First time I played was in a buddies back yard. Then played some local 3 man tournaments, then a few seasons of the NCPA for the University of North Texas, then became a field manager, and played the 2010 PSP season.
These days I occasionally play a tournament with buddies. We’ve become the old guys at the field that spin yarns about the good ole days of semi auto and blind layouts.
And every now and then I make some pictures about paintball. When family, time, and energy permits.”
Do you have a background in art?
“Yup, I have a degree Visual Arts Studies and I’ve been teaching High School Art for 14 years. My mom was also an Art Teacher so I’ve been around art making all my life.”
As far as your artwork goes, what serves as your main sources for inspiration?
“ Even in my non paintball artwork I’ve struggled with the idea of how to contribute to the world with my art. For the longest time I thought that my contributions had to be more broad in order to reach more people with my messages. But when I made some work about tournament paintball I felt closer to the art. I saw it as an opportunity to highlight the people, gear, places, and culture that played a big part of my development as a younger adult. I guess ultimately my inspiration is to blend whatever art skills I may have with paintball culture to try and show off my love for the game.”
With paintball entering another renaissance age, how do you think other artists and creators can get their work out there?
“To quote Dylan Fout, another creator in paintball, “Keep making things!” It’s as simple as that. Make something your proud of is what I tell my students.
I love making something and putting a hardcopy out there. I come from the age of bands handing out burned cds of their music to people standing in line for someone else's show. From a time when you passed actual notes in class, not text messages. I associate more with DIY tangible things, so my answer is 100% biased. You can print something, write, draw, perform whatever it is make it and put it out there.”
How do you see your own personal brand evolving over the next few years?
“Whoa! Don’t go using words like brand! People might think I have my shit together. Right now I have a lot of things rolling through my brain but between family, work, and sanity I don’t know that I’ll have the time to execute em. I hope that my brand, whatever that entails, is something that my family can look at and be proud of. I like to have fun and be sincere, so the brand kinda goes all over the place.(much like my answers to these questions) I guess in a nutshell, I want to make more art, write more essays, create more zines, interview more folks, show the world how great our community can be, work with more people and companies, and ultimately get to know more folks along the way.”
Are there any people in paintball that you'd like to collaborate with?
“ALWAYS! I’ve had the honor to collaborate with a lot of people already and hope to keep doing that forever.
I think right now the biggest thing I want to collaborate on is having an Art Show at World Cup. There’s a handful of paintball artists out there and I think it would be so meaningful to get their work out in front of the paintball community.
I’ve already contacted several artists like Sunshine Hurlburt, Sean Vera and many others about having some stuff at the event. Now I’ve got to lock in a location for this show.
So I guess if someone out there wants to collaborate by helping showcase paintball artists that would be amazing.
That and I gotta get you on the podcast soon!”
Do you have any supporters you'd like to shout out?
“Absolutely, My family is my biggest support. My kids still think that I’m doing cool things and are interested in what I’m making. That’s a huge boost.
Most importantly my wife, Hannah. She knows I value this work and sees how much joy it brings me and supports me in whatever way she can. She’s pretty great.
And of course my Patrons Reese, Colt, Edric, and Christopher. Their financial support has helped fund my art in so many facets.”
